Hello World,

Set up this blog spot some time ago and have finally decided to get it started.
I have called it 'Dancing In The Rain' and I have named in after one of my favourite inspirational quotes, which is:
'Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain'

This quote really appeals to me and inspires me as life today is full of challenges. Challenges and circumstances don't determine your future, it is the way you react to them which does. So learning to wrap your challenges in positive energy, or dancing in the rain, is the secret to achieving great things in life.

These are the things I love to read and therefore are the things I love to write about, so you will probably see more of these words in my future blogs.

Have had a real mixed week in terms of results. Had a fantastic night last Monday (10th May), when I went to see Flight of the Conchords at the NIA. Watched from the front row and savoured every second. They have become my comedy heroes over the last year and I really couldn't believe I was even in the same room as them, in fact I was about ten foot away from them the whole night. Superb!

The very next day though, I had a key member of staff hand in his notice and leave. He was running my marketing operation and was in a little over his head, but his leaving has definitely made me rethink the structure within the business. Restructuring the business will only effect us positively but I thought I had a head strong manager leading the division. His resignation only confirmed how fragile the business was. Results have increased since his departure but it has required a huge amount of my time, which is fine, but directing a business means I can't always be in the office and this is where the fragility comes in.
Two people capable of doing every role within the company is the way forward. One actually doing it and one trained, ready and eager to do it. The Sorcerer and the Apprentice. As one moves on the other steps up to the plate and we then find the new apprentice.
So very sorry for losing this valued member of the team but very grateful to him for pointing out our weaknesses.

Have huge plans for my business, could quite literally just burst with ideas. Looking forward to stepping away from the marketing room again soon so as to implement some of them.
